Go Get 'Em Power Smoothie

Serves 1

It happens to you every day.  Come 2 p.m. you turn into a break room scavenger.  Anything will do.  Cookies, burnt coffee, chips and candy.  The combination can be deadly.  Breakaway from the break room scavenger hunt with the Go Get ‘Em Power Smoothie, a light afternoon snack that will satisfy both your hunger and your sweet tooth.

Ingredients:

½ C. non-fat milk

¼ C. coffee

¼ C. plain Greek yogurt

2 Tbsp. whey protein

½ Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

Dash of cinnamon

½ Tbsp. honey

½ Tbsp. flax oil

Handful of ice

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until frothy.

FOOD THAT LOVES YOU, TOO:  Whey protein takes the main stage in this smoothie.   A protein from cow’s milk, whey keeps you satiated and helps to maintain lean muscle mass.
