You’re stressing because you’re throwing a chic Labor Day BBQ for the friends and fam but you don’t know what to make.  Well, you’re in luck because I’ve put together my favorite healthy recipes from Food, I Love You! and some other food bloggers I’m currently obsessing over.  Now all you have to do is sit back, relax (wine in hand) and enjoy the people around you!  Oh–and don’t forget your Top 5 Outdoor Entertainment Must-Haves!

Campari Crush.  Crisp and refreshing palette cleanser.  Enjoy as an aperitif!

The Bubbly Girl’s Framboise Apricot Punch.  Miss Thang, the Bubbly Girl, did it again. Colorful and spritzy, it’s perfect for an outdoor BBQ.

Fresh and Easy Cantaloupe Salsa.  Wow your guests with this refreshing, sweet and spicy dip.  Serve with your favorite tortilla chips or top chicken or flakey white fish.

Omega-3 Lemon Basil Quick Bread.  Perfect for a antipasto spread with veggie crudite, cheese, nuts and jams.  Serve loaf warm and let guests break the bread themselves.  Have a little extra-virgin olive oil or Irish butter nearby for added decadence.

Grilled Peaches and Burrata.  Sweet, savory and creamy–what’s not to love?  Topped with Mint and Sunflower Seed Pesto, you’ll be amazed how quickly it goes!

The Kitchn’s Three Cheese Tomato Tart. Summer produce’s sweetheart (the tomato) only has a few more weeks at its peak.  The Kitchn’s rendition on this savory tart is delectably delicious!

Not Your Grandma’s Potato Salad.  Leave the mayo in the fridge and try this slightly refined potato salad on for size.  Ol’ Grammie might not like the idea of it, but once she tastes, she’ll never go back!

Tangy Broccoli Salad.  Low in calories, lots of texture and chock full of healthy Omega-3’s it makes a fantastic side dish for your Labor Day festivities.

Summer Fruit & Spinach Salad with Lemon Cilantro Dressing.  Bright as the sun shining upon your face, this salad is a HIT and a delicious side dish for the main courses below.  Or make it the centerpiece, topped with grilled chicken or shrimp.

Main Course:

Black Bean Burgers with Mole Glaze.  Go vegan at the BBQ.  Tastes extra special with Spicy Sweet Potato Fries.

New York Times’ Backyard Flank Steak Teriyaki.  Rule the grill and wow your carnivorous guests with this sweet and salty steak.  A sure bet winner!

Sweetapolita’s A Slice of Summer Lavender & Lemon Cake.  This gorgeous cake is what it is – simple and sweet.  The lavender is infused into the whipped cream.  OMG good!

Aida Mollenkamp’s Shirley Temple Sundae.  What’s a summer party without booze-infused fruit on hand?  Aida teaches how to make boozy cherries.  Top on ice cream and voila!  A sundae!  Goes deliciously on coffee ice cream!

Have fun, eat well and celebrate your good health!  And remember to love the food that loves you back! xxo
